Bergerac airport to close for 3 months

Bergerac airport is just to the north west of the Midi-Pyrenees region and is useful if visiting the Lot or Tarn-et-Garonne departments, plus of course is right in the heart of the Dordogne.

Bergerac airport is closing for almost three months from Monday 9 January until 23 March 2012, while work is carried out to build a new runway.

The airport is used by many of the low cost airlines, including Ryanair, Jet2 and Flybe, with flights to popular destinations in the UK such as Bristol, Gatwick, Stansted and many more.

Nearby Brive airport is an alternative, with regular flights to London City run by CityJet.
