Montpellier airport to be taken over by the region

The Region and Montpellier Agglo have taken over the airport. Said Georges Frêche "Because of recent difficulties we will now manage and develop Montpellier airport. This participation will open eyes on governance which will remove the powerlessness we have felt for some time. My ambition remains the same: that the airport be tomorrow's national airport major international and South of France. "

Georges Frêche (President of the Region Languedoc-Roussillon President Montpellier Agglomeration)

NOTE Montpellier has been an airport which has resisted flights from low cost airlines – will this now change?
